...
The first attempt to Hatched with WQ was unsuccessful as the place happens to be closed on every Monday. So I headed there again with The Boyfriend for weekend brunch on another occasion.

Hatched: Cozy Little Space!

Bar that serves coffee, tea, champagne and bottled beer all day long.

All Day Breakfast Menu :)

Nuts About Eggs! Window shades in the shape of egg and books about egg :D

Burly Benedict: English Muffin topped with corned Wagyu beef/ poached egg,
served with sauteed potatoes with caramelised onions.

Yummilicious! Though we thought the serving for 2 was a tad too small.

Oozy Baked Egg: Eggs baked with bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes.

And of course what is weekend brunch without wine? The Boyfriend and I headed to The Wine Company (just down next door) for happy hour :D Simply more than just perfect!

Happy Hour!

As it was almost time for tea when we were done, we headed next door (yes again!) for Mr. Prata :D

Mr. Prata (Photo from Hungrygowhere)

Since we parked at CCAB, The Boyfriend and I took a walk around CCAB premises to work off the calories :p If you are not aware, the indoor basketball courts at CCAB were where "A" Division Basketball Tournament used to be held. So this is also one of the places that meant a lot to The Boyfriend and I :)

I brought The Boyfriend down the corridor to the outdoor area next to Court 3 and asked if he remembered.

The Corridor filled with memories, sweat, tears and happiness

The outdoor area is actually where The Team would pour canned soya milk on the floor for everyone to step on before we head into the court. And if you are thinking that it's some good luck ritual that The Team practice, you are so wrong! This is actually done to prevent us from slipping on the court :)

The outdoor area is also the debriefing area for The Team. It was the area where The Girls Team cried our hearts out where we lost by merely 2 points during 2002 semi-finals. R said, "It's okay, just cry your hearts out." And we stood there, hanging on to each other as a team and crying our hearts out. It was the area where A scolded The Guys Team when they looked so disheartened after they lost their first game for 2003 season. A said, " For us who didn't make it to the team, we always thought that you guys deserved to be in the team. But looking at your lousy performances today, it makes me feel that people on the bench could do so much better. I may not be as good but I'm sure my fighting spirit beats all of you who played today." Well, the good lashing went a long way because The Guys Team won all the way to the finals.

It is amazing how a good 6 years have passed but these memories remained forever etched in our hearts :)

It was a different fun at Mint Toy Museum for Halloween- free flow of drinks, fantastic band and fabulous company :)

The Boyfriend and I attempted to break the glasses and steal the million dollar coin back in Vienna.

But of course, you should know how the story went- WE FAILED (otherwise we would still be lugging our LV trunks, touring Europe :P)!

Per the current gold price and foreign exchange rate, this coin (when melted) can actually fetch us SGD5 million!

Ahhh.. It's always good to daydream, especially when the workday is coming to an end :D

I've always been wanting to revamp my blog since eons ago but never did get around doing it. So over the weekend I've finally added a new header and some user pictures. I guess it will take me sometime to find and change the layout as I really love the current one :)

And I woke up to have a quick, leisure run this morning. I'm kinda not used to running without any target set in mind, but nonetheless I did enjoy metime :D

Hello, little changes :)

Going for an overseas pre-wedding photoshoot was never a must on my wedding to-do list. But it all so happen that The Boyfriend and I were heading to Europe for his graduation trip last May that we started toying with the idea of getting our pre-wedding photoshoot done overseas. In fact, no concrete arrangement/plan is made until 3 months before our date to set off The Little Red Dot. And what got us started planning was all the constant nagging from our closed friends :P

So The Boyfriend and I have to decide on:
1) Photography Services
2) Location
3) Photoshoot Outfit

I always thought that the above tasks will be no sweat but I have to admit that it has been a pretty stressful time just one month before especially when accomodation and transportation bookings were not made for our free & easy trip.

Due to cost issue, The Boyfriend and I immediately ruled out flying a local photographer to Europe with us.  And who will know Europe better than the Europeans themselves :D So we started searching on Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). Having to go through the portfolio of all the European photographers were no joke. But we did manage to shortlist 7 photographers from Germany, Hungary, Italy and Poland. (In February, The Boyfriend and I have not confirmed our travel route in Europe. All we know was we were flying to Frankfurt :D)

The photographer who caught my attention is Bartosz Jastal. Bartosz has won 19 awards on WPJA. And somehow, every single of his picture seems to be telling a story which touch my heart :) So The Boyfriend and I were keeping our fingers crossed that his charges was reasonable. If you are reading this but is not a Singaporean, you would not know the sky-high charges that Singaporean photographers are charging even when they only qualify and not win any award from WPJA. In Singapore, certificates and recognition mean everything which really should not be the case if you ask me.

After speaking to the photographers via email, I was even more sure that I wanted to engage Bartosz' photography services especially when his charges was so reasonable :) So in that one week, The Boyfriend and I settled the photography services for our overseas pre-wedding photoshoot and the location- Venice, Italy (The New York Times described it as "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man).

The irony is that, like us, Bartosz has never step foot on Venice. His reply to how well he know Venice was, "I've never been to Venice. But I'm sure it is such beautiful city that it will not be a problem to find interesting places, we will just go for a walk, and that's all."

So The Boyfriend and I paid for his air ticket and deposit, and everything was set to go. (Just a point to note: Domestic budget flight does not fly that frequently so do ensure that your travel period and photoshoot session match!) However, at some point of time, I did go into a semi-state of paranoia with the uncertainty of H1N1 and tale-telling of bad experiences with European budget airlines but of course The Boyfriend and Bartosz always manage to reassure me :)

Here's the preview of 2 of the photos that I really like :D

My cousin, Miller finally hopped onto the bandwagon of marriage when he and his wife, Elina tied the knot on 20092009 :) Miller is the last among the above-25 to get hitched at my maternal side of family.

And if you are thinking about me, I still do not belong the above-25 age group :D

Congratulations!

When we were taking our usual family portrait during the wedding banquet, it dawned on me the number of add-ons we had over the last few years. How time flies!
